I was telling someone that even though I read good books last year, nothing was really AWESOME. And I hate when that happens. When people ask what I want to do this year, I always say “listen to good music and read good books”
Well the stars have already aligned for me because, my people, this book?? I enjoyed it so much. Until I am wondering if I’m over hyping it in my head.
Guys, this collection is sublime. The Kenyan stories are very Kenyan until I was giddy reading them. I also think I was hungering for such stories.
Because sometimes you read a Kenyan story that sounds so far removed and pretentious. My friends, this isn’t that. The stories are…… Great.
